Events: the tortured shambler

September and October are the same every year: packed with events. I feel a bit like the “tortured shambler” from the picture above: way too long (overnight) train journey, many people in big convention centers and definitely too much alcohol.

Just last week, I experienced this at the DSAG annual meeting in Nuremberg with 4000 participants – a new record. It was a very successful meeting for us because graphomate was mentioned or shown in three presentations

For example, Michael Tritschler of Endress+Hauser presented, together with Alexander Kästner of ISR , a Design Studio application with graphomate charts which really impressed me.
Building a dashboard prototype including various filter- and drill-down functions with Hichert-charts, illustrates for me the great potential of Design Studio.
But it also shows the great deployability of the SDK and with that of our graphomate charts, too!

I hope to be able to show you a video of the Design Studio application here in the near future.
DSAG members find the presentation here.

It was certainly great to meet the usual suspects again and to ”chat“! But for me, the – technical – information content of the DSAG Technology Days is considerably higher.

The week before the DSAG congress, I was able to speak at two customer – and partner events and tomorrow I will be talking at the 3.Healthcare.IT Camp of the PlanOrg Informatik GmbH in Leipzig.

And I will be presenting our ideas of good visualization of business data at the BI eXcellence information day near Heidelberg on the 10th of October. Participation is free of charge and the other lectures about developments by BI eXcellence around the topic of SAP BW are interesting. Click here to sign up.

I am looking forward to meet one or two readers there!

By the way, I have the “tortured shambler” figure on my desk – thanks to our new colleague Jens Beckmann who builds, designs and sells this and other figures and objects: http://www.pardulon-models.com/

The best,
