We had a high school intern with us for the past two weeks… and he spent a lot of time working on VibeCoding.

We wanted to make good use of the time with and for him, so we came up with the following task: “Use the AI Claude to create an interactive web dashboard based on SAP UI5 that displays the data from any CSV file in a format compatible with IBCS”

Jermain already had some coding experience, but this task was a major challenge even for him. His conclusion: “AI is a useful tool for coding, but it has its limits.”.

The result you see below is certainly impressive: a dashboard with filters that generates IBCS visualizations in the browser based on any CSV data.

No, this isn’t a dashboard that can be used productively, and the IBCS rules aren’t perfectly implemented either.
Still, I find it incredible that a young high school intern—who, just two weeks ago, knew nothing about Dashboarding, IBCS nd very little about JavaScript—was able to achieve such a result with the help of AI.


What did we learn from the process:

+ Claude reliably handles routine tasks and saves time,

+ Claude can fully implement smaller projects—including comprehensive documentation.

– For more complex tasks, his suggestions do not always reflect your own ideas; every change should be reviewed.

– Detailed feedback (e.g., screenshots) is necessary until the AI correctly implements SAP UI5.

– Limitations: After 4–5 hours of use, the daily limit is reached even with Claude Pro.

In any case, I’d like to thank Jermain Padourek for his dedication: It was very interesting for us to see how he used Claude to carry out the assigned task. We also use AI for certain tasks, but we approach the generated code with a healthy dose of skepticism. Nothing gets “pulled” without being reviewed first.
