The size of life
This week, I found a beautiful “goody” that gave me some relaxation in these crazy days.
In my last post, I discussed the 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬.
In my opinion, they should be 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 to improve understanding. However, the positive effect wasn’t that obvious in this example based on the feedback on LinkedIn I received.😊
This is completely different with this wonderful visualization by Neal Agarwal.
Without uniform and consistent scaling, the wow factor would be lost.
“The size of life” shows the scale of living things, starting with DNA, to haemoglobin, and keeps going up. The scientific illustrations are hand-drawn (without AI) by Julius Csotonyi. The sound and music calm my mind and encourage a slow observation of things but also grow in complexity with the scale.
It’s like a meditation exercise, isn’t it?
Enjoy it like I did and have a nice weekend,
Lars
