To this end, people from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Namibia were shown this illusion.<br><br> The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.science.org\/content\/article\/culture-literally-changes-how-we-see-world\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">result<\/a> is impressive:<br>\u201c\u2026 a full \ud835\udff5\ud835\udff3% of U.S. and U.K. participants saw rectangles first. In the Himba villages in Namibia, however, \ud835\udff5\ud835\udff2% \ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf3 \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\ude00\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude04 \ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00 \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude00\ud835\ude01.\u201d<br><br>The researchers suspect this is because we are surrounded by rectangular architecture, an idea known as the carpentered world hypothesis. In contrast, the traditional \ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf4\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00 \ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf3 \ud835\udddb\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddef\ud835\uddee \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf3 \ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\uddf5\ud835\ude02\ud835\ude01\ud835\ude00 surrounding a circular livestock corral.<br>I&#8217;ll attach a picture of a typical Himba village in a comment.<br><\/p>\n\n\n<div
